This is the second in a series of columns concerning laws regulating pacfic poker. In my last column, The Time is Ripe, I pointed out that the huge changes in how poker is currently viewed by the public provide a friendly climate for obtaining needed changes in the law, and I discussed what some of those changes might be. This column will focus on how to achieve those changes.
It is up to the dealer to decide what cards are wild in each game. He can essentially choose any card he likes to be wild. Common wild cards are deuces, threes, one- eyed Jacks, and the suicide Kings (King of hearts).
Poker Game
The other side has opened the bidding. Your partner has passed
or has not yet had an opportunity to be heard. If your hand measures up, you
may be able to prevent the opponents from bidding and making the decisive game
of the rubber. You may even be able to capture the initiative and make a partial
game of your own. And occasions arise in which you and pacfic
poker partner can make game even though the other side opened the auction
